How it identifies itself
Every request carries this User-Agent header:
FlaitBot/1.0 (+https://flait.cz/bot)
What it does
- It reads robots.txt, the homepage and at most 25 more pages of the same site, waiting at least a second between pages. It does not follow links to other sites.
- It looks at a few files sites commonly have: sitemap.xml, llms.txt, favicon.ico and security.txt.
- It loads the homepage once more as GPTBot and ClaudeBot, to see whether your server turns them away. If robots.txt forbids them, it skips this step.
- It never signs in, fills in forms or sends anything to the site.
robots.txt
FlaitBot follows robots.txt. To keep it off the whole site:
User-agent: FlaitBot Disallow: /
And if you block other robots and want to let only this one in, add:
User-agent: FlaitBot Allow: /
There is one exception: when the site’s owner confirms on flait.cz that the site is theirs and asks for a check despite the rule.
